The final stage of our tour of luxury resorts in Greece saw us arrive at one of the most celebrated islands in the country. While the Caribbean will always be one of my favorites places in the world, I recently had the chance to take a tour of a vacation retreat which is a little closer to home.

There’s nowhere in the world quite like Grace Bay in the Turks & Caicos Islands. Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands is one of the most exclusive private island rentals in the world. There are few luxury travel destinations that can even come close to the experience of having your own private paradise island. For a long time Mexico has held its position among the top ten vacation destinations in the world. For those who’ve travel here, it's easy to see why. Punta Mita is a beautiful peninsula located on the Pacific coast of Mexico in the state of Nayarit. Since its release in 2008, the Gulfstream G650 has been the peak standard in luxury business travel. It’s a level of quality which, I believe, has yet to be matched in a private jet of its class. I had the good fortune to take a flight in the ultra-luxurious Gulfstream G650 from L.A. to London recently, giving me the opportunity to experience flying privately in what is considered to be the most well-balanced business jet in terms of speed, range, and ride comfort. The Gulfstream G650 is a twin-engined business-class jet which is capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 0.925. That's nearly the speed of sound. The sheer velocity of this powerful jet means that we will arrive in London 30 minutes earlier than if we were crossing the pond in another jet of similar size.

It’s only January of 2019 and we’ve already had what could turn out to be the biggest news of the year in U.S. real estate. Right now, it’s certainly the hot topic. Billionaire hedge fund founder, Ken Griffin, just set a new record for the most expensive home ever sold in the United States, paying a staggering $238m for a New York apartment. This luxurious ‘mansion in the sky’ is within the 220 Central Park South building in Manhattan - a contemporary skyscraper located on New York’s famous “Billionaire’s Row”. The apartment overlooks Central Park (of course) and expands over four stories encompassing an impressive 24,000 square feet of living space. The building was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, with construction completed at the back end of 2018.

When the opportunity came up to visit Punta Mita on Mexico’s Pacific coast, I leaped at the chance. Who wouldn’t? Mexico is a world-class vacation destination for its impressive and varied landscapes. I’ve seen secluded colonial mountain-top towns and sleepy Caribbean fishing villages but the Pacific coast had so far eluded me. Exciting.I’ve always had a lot of love for Mexico, and not just as a tourist destination. The country shines with a kind of simple friendliness which seems to be the unwritten rule of how this chaotic society functions. Sharing buena onda - good vibe - is the best way to get into the rhythm of Mexico. Once you catch the beat, you might get hooked too.
