The Silo Hotel

The Silo Hotel is an exclusive five star hotel towering above the V&A Waterfront, surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa’s Mother City. This magical hotel is a celebration of art, style, architecture, and design.
The Silo Hotel has been built in the grain elevator portion of a historic grain silo complex, occupying six floors above the Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa). Zeitz MOCAA houses Africa’s largest collection of contemporary African art.
There are 28 rooms, including a spectacular one bedroom penthouse. Each room has been individually designed and decorated by the stylish wand of owner Liz Biden. Colourful and eclectic pieces juxtapose the modern, industrial architecture. Each room has a private balcony and a unique collection of contemporary African art.

The Silo Hotel is located in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront and is the ideal base from which to explore all that the city has to offer. - Silo Room
Each entry level room adopts a unique and exciting colour scheme and collection of contemporary African art. Each room has a private balcony and a large en-suite bathroom.
- Duplex Suite
The Duplex Suites are situated across the sixth and seventh floors with either mountain or harbour views. These suites have an upstairs and a downstairs and vary between 76m2 (818ft²) and 88m2 (947ft²) including a small balcony. Like your own little luxury apartment in Cape Town.
- Deluxe Superior
The Deluxe Superior Suites are situated across the eighth, ninth and tenth floors with spectacular 5.5m (18ft) high pillowed glass windows showcasing the natural wonder of Cape Town. They range in size from 60m2 (646ft²) to 67m2 (721ft²) including a balcony and sitting area.
- Family Duplex
The two-bedroom Family Duplexes are situated on the seventh floor with views over the old harbour and out to the distant mountains or over the V&A Waterfront and Signal Hill. Family Suites range from 111m2 (1195ft²) to 128m2 (1378ft²) including a balcony. They are on two levels and have two bedrooms upstairs, one of which is a smaller kids’ bedroom.
- Royal Suite
The two-bedroom, triple aspect Royal Suites face the Atlantic Ocean, Robben Island and the distant mountains. Each Royal Suite is 132m² (1421ft²) in size and each has two bedrooms, a large living and dining area and a generous balcony.
- Penthouse
The one-bedroom penthouse is the jewel in The Royal Portfolio’s crown located on the top floor of The Silo Hotel facing Table Mountain with triple aspect views of Cape Town. There is a cinema room and a spa treatment room and the main bedroom has two walk in wardrobes and two marble bathrooms.
Includes two 24m² (258ft²) private balconies and can be converted into a two-bedroom penthouse.

Property Overview
La Residence is situated in the Franschhoek Valley on a 30-acre estate filled with vines, fruit trees, flowers, and herbs. It is a romantic and indulgent paradise whose magnificent interior is filled with rich fabrics, wonderful artwork, and antique furniture.
Eleven individually-decorated suites enjoy vibrant colour schemes and spectacular views. Palatial en-suite bathrooms ooze glamour.
A stone’s throw from La Residence, in a tranquil vineyard setting, five Vineyard Suites offer spacious accommodation in a variety of configurations for up to 20 guests, including children of all ages. There are stylish rooms for dining and relaxing and luxurious bedrooms with marble en-suite bathrooms. All have private terraces and gardens; four have their own pools. Complimentary drinks and snacks, wide screen televisions and DVD players create a homely feel.

This one-bedroom suite has a loft bedroom with a central living and dining area, covered patio, and a private garden. One bedroom is downstairs and is 35 square metres in size, while the other smaller, children’s room upstairs, is 15 square metres and has two single beds.

The Lodge & The Farmstead
The Lodge is a more classic and traditional bush-style lodge, brimming with old world elegance and timeless luxury. This is the original Biden Family homestead. The Lodge has six Luxury Suites, two Royal Suites (which each have two bedrooms), and Africa House – an exclusive use villa with six bedrooms.
The Farmstead is a fresh, contemporary-style lodge with sweeping vistas over the bushveld. A more intimate and private space that is both stylish and comfortable. The Farmstead is just a 12 minute drive south of The Lodge and has three Luxury Farm Suites, and The Farmhouse – a three and a half bedroom private villa.

- Africa House
Africa House is a spacious and elegant, exclusive-use bush villa with six en-suite bedrooms on either side of a central courtyard. Each bedroom is uniquely decorated and has a private outside shower and deck. Antique furniture, carved four-poster beds from Mombasa, plush silk furnishings, and Persian rugs create an exotic and luxurious feel. The vast front deck provides the ultimate space to relax, dine, and enjoy the beautiful swimming pool. Africa House has its own private services.
- Luxury Farm Suite
There are three Luxury Farm Suites at The Farmstead. Each has a spacious bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. There are large front and back verandas, as well as a beautiful deck and a private pool overlooking the bush where animals roam freely. Children over 10 are welcome in the Luxury Farm Suites.
- The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse at The Farmstead is a three and a half bedroom private villa. The Farmhouse has its own private services including a chef, housekeeper, butler, private safari vehicle, ranger, and tracker. There are three main bedrooms, as well as a smaller children's room. There is a magnificent deck with a large swimming pool flowing out into the bush. Children of all ages are welcome in the Farmhouse.
