21 Nettleton

Property Overview

Perfectly placed just below the mountains and above some of the best beaches in Africa, 21 Nettleton is also 10 minutes from the major tourist attractions such as the city centre, Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront and 30 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. A short drive down the Atlantic Ocean coastline and guests reach the picturesque town of Hout Bay and the iconic Chapman’s Peak Drive. Beyond that lies Cape Point Nature Reserve, home to unique flora and fauna, pristine beaches and dazzling windswept views. Cape Town’s finest restaurants, theatre and nightlife are all within easy reach, making it an ideal base.

• Lions Head Room

​

This intimate space, with a modern and antique ensemble, overlooks one side of Lion’s Head, an iconic peak in Table Mountain National Park. The double-volume ceiling allows for warm afternoon light to stream into the room, creating a wonderful place to relax. The room itself is reminiscent of safaris. The art complements this desert setting, stemming from Arab and Jewish descent with a renaissance feel. The camel bone chest underneath the ornate cabinet keeps with the nomadic theme. Located one floor above the main garden, this suite has no terrace or separate minibar/lounge area.

• King Room

​

he elegant suite has a super-size king bed and an outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean and the Twelve Apostles. The open-plan bath area, with hardwood floors, includes a freestanding bathtub and walk-in shower. As this space lets the natural light illuminate the bright and simple motif, the large and king-sized furniture carefully adds a warm contrast to the local colours. White on dark oak, grey against ornate gold, and black set with the royal dark hues of red. The King Room is located one level below the main garden in a private section of the house, and has a separate lounge with minibar and coffee/tea facilities.

• Queen Suite

​

The Queen Suite has an open, warm, and spacious feel with a charming décor of pastel pinks, featuring the much-loved ‘Giraffe in drag’. The floral patterns blend with the farm scene from the late 1800s, a sharp art piece of the empress, and Flemish Tapestry that hangs above the hand-carved desk piece. The suite has a large private outdoor terrace with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Twelve Apostles. This can be opened up to include the King Room and Emperor Suite, which is ideal for families or large groups. The suite features a king-size bed,  a free-standing bath in the bedroom and an en-suite bathroom.

• Emperor Suite

​

Asia meets Africa in the Emperor Suite, where jade artwork and bronze sculptures of zulu warriors catch the eye. This large sweeping room has antique pieces, granite floor inlays and beautifully upholstered chairs, which add extra warmth to the royal feeling. This classically styled suite has ample space with a king-size bed, his-and-hers wash basins, separate dressing room and lounge areas and a large private terrace with sensational mountain and ocean views. The suite was designed with an additional pull-down Murphy bed, which is ideal for children.

• Steinway Suite

​

Located on the level below the Penthouse, the Steinway Suite has ample floorspace with magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range, while a large terrace facing the ocean provides elevated views of the Atlantic. With its own private library, a separate lounge and indoor dining area, and home to a Steinway Grand Piano – this plush suite is individually appointed and unique. Some of the favourite pieces here are the Turkish silk tapestry in a door frame, ‘Montagu Mountains’ by Francois Krige and a jade sculpture of monks watching over the building of the Great Wall of China.

• Presidential Penthouse

​

This opulent penthouse is in a class (and on a floor) of its own. The 360-degree ocean and mountain views are breathtaking, but the suite itself is just as impressive. There are two bathrooms, a steam room, several balconies, a separate lounge and daybed relaxation space, a dining area and a drawing room with fireplace and TV. The interior of the Presidential Suite evokes early 19th Century Europe with its various Biedermeier pieces and renaissance artworks, topped off with traditional Pixiu dragons guarding the entrance. There’s a comprehensive in-room minibar, tea and coffee making facilities.

Kubili House

Property Overview

Kubili House is a private residence set within Thornybush Game Reserve, in the Limpopo province of South Africa, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Guests are promised an outstanding wildlife viewing experience, but also promised much much more.

Kubili House offers a safari lifestyle and not just the experience. Game drives accompanied by a personal field guide and tracker are available at any time. The style is discreet and tailored specifically to guest requirements.

An array of activities is included in a stay including game drives, camping, 4x4 adventures, craft workshops, archery and wellness programs designed to each individual guest. The concierge will happily put together an individualized program with emphasis on flexibility should the guest change their mind at any point.

The house includes five bedrooms, three swimming pools, a spa and steam room, a private game viewer, and three fully equipped camping vehicles. The house is directly situated on the bank of the largest dam in the reserve which is the main watering hole in the north of the reserve, providing a consistent flow of animal activity viewable from any of the many decks.

Kisawa Sanctuary

Property Overview

Kisawa is a 300-hectare sanctuary of forest, beach and sand dunes, located on the southern tip of  Benguerra Island. 

​

Benguerra Island is situated 14 kilometres off Mozambique, on the Eastern coast of Africa. Part of the Bazaruto Archipelago, the neighbouring WWF National Marine Park is home to some of the richest and least explored subtropical ecosystems in the Indian Ocean.

​

Kisawa is a happy pairing of innovation and tradition. Believing in inclusive design, Kisawa has worked with skilled artisans from Benguerra Island as well as patented 3D printing technology. Decisions have been careful to protect the environment and ensure a light footprint on the natural landscape where possible. The vision has been to blend rather than interrupt.

Twelve bespoke bungalows are carefully positioned over a 300-hectare stretch of forest, beach and sand dunes, ensuring optimum privacy, minimum disturbance and maximum appreciation of the natural environment. Skirting the coastline of the southern point of Benguerra Island, each bungalow has its own beachfront, private swimming pool and day area – with an outdoor kitchen, dedicated service team and a pantry stocked to individual preference.

At Kisawa, wellness is more than a treatment list – it’s the underlying philosophy. Kisawa’s spa specialises in traditional Chinese medicine offerings, housed in the natural wellness centre. The architecture is inspired by the island’s thatched houses and community buildings. Offerings are centred on achieving wellbeing through unity of mind, body, and spirit.

Kisawa’s 25 meter central lagoon pool is closely connected to the natural wellness centre ensuring guests can either swim laps or relax pool side post treatment or after a day of water activities at the nearby sports locker.

The annex is suitable for young children, support personnel, and older children looking for independence. A choice of twin beds or a king bed, the annex features one dressing room and one bathroom with shower and bathtub. The annex and main bungalow are connected via a joint open-air deck and share the same pool and day area with an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor living room, an outdoor shower, and an infinity pool.
