Spend the day in the company of your guide discovering the many facets of the famous coastal city of Cannes. Get an early start to the day to browse through the Marché Forville, one of the region’s best food and flower markets. Stroll along the glamorous Croisette, with its luxury designer boutiques and legendary Palais des Festivals, site of the famous annual Cannes Film Festival. Climb the winding cobbled streets to Le Suquet, the old town, to take in the splendid view over the city and Mediterranean Sea, then return to port for your 20-minute public ferry crossing to the Lérins Islands: Île Sainte-Marguerite, the site of the Fort Royal, the famous prison where the Man in the Iron Mask was held captive during the time of Louis XIV; and Île Saint-Honorat, home to the Abbaye de Lerins Monastery. Owned by Cistercian monks since the 5th century, the monastery complex is also a working vineyard.

Forville Market

The city's oldest and largest standing market, selling everything from local fruit and olives to fresh sliced hamone.

Luxury Shopping at the famous Cannes Croisette

Visit la Croisette to start your luxury shopping day in the natural habitat of the wealthy jet-set, right next to Bay of Cannes. This lovely palm-lined promenade is a dizzying array of high-end designer shops. Cannes has the largest concentration of luxury shops per m2 in France.

Lérins Islands

The Lérins Islands consist of two main islands, reached by private boat. The largest, Ile Sainte-Marguerite, harbors hidden coves, tidal pools, and beaches and is crisscrossed by a network of well-marked walking trails.

Just over three-quarters of a mile long and less than half a mile wide, tiny Ile Saint-Honorat is home to the Abbaye de Lérins, where 20 Cistercian brothers live a life of solitude tending acres of vineyards from which they make award-winning wines.

La Villa Archange

A cozy little venue with old wooden floorboards and big comfy armchairs – the ideal setting to sample chef Bruno Oger's cuisine. Breton by birth, he has adopted the Mediterranean as his home, and now concocts inspired seafood dishes drawn from Brittany and the French Riviera… Abalone from the island of Groix seared with artichokes rubs shoulders with Brittany lobster, followed by a lemon dessert of citrus fruits, bloody orange sorbet and olive oil. A table d'hôte in the kitchen provides the opportunity to glean insights into the culinary process. La Guérite

Located on the island of Sainte-Marguerite, away from prying eyes, it's a little corner of paradise bordered by the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, accessible only by boat. The perfect spot for a lunch with your feet in the sand, where you can share in Chef Yiannis Kioroglou gourmet peregrinations in the shade of the cane arbour or under a pine umbrella.
