Some of the home’s historic details include the entrance hall and stone staircase, each with a vaulted ceiling, and the ground floor composed of charming river stones.

The wood-lined, Alpine-inspired room known as a “stube” looks out over the home’s dining area and makes a warm retreat after a day spent in the snow. The Lodge fully equipped kitchen is home to modern appliances and the home’s original stove and stone countertops. Here your dedicated chef will prepare nightly dinners, along with breakfast and afternoon tea.

The lodge´s high-end relaxation area is the perfect place to slow time down after a vigorous ski down the nearby slopes. (Hitting the slopes is easy here, as White Deer guests can hop on a private shuttle to the Plan de Corones Ski Resort.) Plop down in the massage chair, which is digitally controlled, or rest in the sauna or Turkish bath. After a day spent outdoors, unwind on the plush sofa beside the crackling fireplace in the lodge’s main living area.

White Deer’s state-of-the-art wine cellar was once a humble goat stable, making it all the more impressive now. Detached from the rest of the home, the cellar can be reached in just a few steps. Made up of original stone walls and a striking wooden ceiling, the cellar is a one-of-a-kind place to sample the flavors of Italy. Sip an expertly curated selection of wines and gastronomic delights from small-scale local producers.

Outside the home, you’ll find even more opportunities for relaxation. The backyard garden has a patio that opens at the press of a button to reveal a Berndorf Bäderbau stainless-steel whirlpool. Visiting White Deer during the colder months, you can still relax in the whirlpool, which maintains a temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.
